The world is experiencing a powerful collective moment right now:
- In the United States - the CEO of United Healthcare, one of the largest US health insurance companies, was killed in broad daylight while walking to an investor meeting. United Healthcare has a reputation of denying the most medical claims of any other insurance company. The reaction from the American public has been a collective shrug, if not outright celebration.
- In France - The government has collapsed with the Prime Minister Michel Barnier failing a no-confidence vote in which both the far-left and far-right coalitions in French Parliament united to oust him.
- In South Korea - the President declared martial law claiming the government had been infiltrated by communists (it’s not). Korean people mobilized and the National Assembly voted unanimously to stop the declaration and are now pushing to impeach the President.
- In Vietnam - as part of an ongoing anti-corruption campaign called “Burning Furnace,” the federal court has sentenced a real-estate billionaire to death for defrauding $12.5 Billion over the course of 11 years.
It’s easy to think that each of these events are disconnected, but to us, they represent a growing trend of working class people around the world sick of the status quo and demanding change. This moment demonstrates that we share a common struggle against a common enemy - a ruling elite who continue to corrupt public institutions and extract wealth from all life around them. At this point, the combined wealth of the billionaire class is OVER $14 trillion, doubling in the last decade. It’s no wonder the whole world is fed up.
