Easy Actions to Take
Why: In the BBC’s reporting of Anas Al-Sharif’s murder, they state they he was part of a “Hamas media team.” This is a baseless claim with no evidence and aligns with the Israeli narrative used to justify the targeted attacks against journalists. This type of reporting is actively play cover for and whitewashing these crimes. Organized by Accountable Media
Why: On May 2, 2025, an Israeli drone struck the ship Conscience as it was transporting humanitarian aid to Gaza. This is a blatant attack on civilians on top of the crime of blockading all of Gaza. The United Nations should launch an independent investigation into this attack. Organized by Freedom Flotilla Coalition
Why: US Republicans are attempting to push through a bill to regulate speech online under the guise of “protecting children.” In reality, this bill gives the government power to deem what speech is permissible online and what isn’t by allowing them to sue platform for not moderating content heavily enough, representing a dangerous new tool for internet censorship of political views unfavorable to the government.
